IDA Grants and Funding

Some of our teams are fully sponsored by their college, others are funded solely by student riders and others receive funding from numerous sources.  In an effort to help struggling teams, particularly those who are just getting started, the IDA offers a special assistance grant.  The funds may be used to pay for travel expenses, help cover the costs of hosting a show, or cover team or rider dues.  Grants typically are up to $500.


This grant is awarded twice during the competition year, once in the fall and again in the spring.  Any IDA team may submit a request by filling out the appropriate form (click here) and sending it to: Lisa Moosmueller-Terry, Virginia Intermont College, 1013 Moore Street, Bristol, VA 24201. mooseterry@vic.edu or lisamoosmueller@vic.edu

Applications are due Oct 15th and March 15th for the fall and spring semesters respectively.
